Skirt

   This weekend I was visiting my family and got my sister to try on the skirt I made. She loved the skirt and didn't want to take it off and since I'm such a good big sis I let her keep it. I'm very excited about making these new things and getting better at it. Don't get me wrong I love making accessories but there's just something about making clothing from scratch that makes my heart flutter and puts a smile on my face. My sister looked adorable, and I got some pictures of it to show you.

   Don't you just love it! I know I do. Oh and that bow in her hair.. I will have some up for sale on my Etsy soon so keep watch for those. They are perfect for a special occasion or everyday wear!

Something New

  Tonight instead of making an accessory I tried something new. I made my very first children's skirt, and I must say that it turned out way better than I imagined. All I used was some fabric my mom bought me from Joann's, two inch wide elastic and ended up creating this little beauty. I'm going to have my sister model it this weekend and take some lovely photos so you can all see how it looks on something other than my carpet. I really can't decide what I like more about the skirt, the colors, the patterns, or the lace! I love how girly it is and its perfect for spring and summer.

Hat and Scarf Sets

  Looking for something to keep you warm this winter? I currently do not have this listed on my Etsy page but I am taking custom orders and can have it done and shipped it 7-10 days. Just shoot me an email (accessoriesbyval@hotmail.com) or convo me on Etsy and we can work out all the details.
  There are two different styles that you can order. The first one (pink, pictured above) is a hat and a scarf with fringe. The other (yellow, also pictured above) is an ear warmer with a scarf with flowers on it. You can mix anything from either set together so if you want an ear warmer with the fringey scarf etc... then go for it!!   
  Right now I can do sets in black, brown, purple, pink, teal, turquoise, and ivory but will be adding to my stash of yarn soon. If you have any color requests other than whats listed, I'd love your recommendations. Prices for these vary depending on the size and which set you go with. Feel free to email me with any questions.
